I was given your book as a Christmas gift and as a child of the Niagara area in the 40’s and 50’s it brought back many memories of the area .I rode my bike to swim at the Dufferin islands pool and over the bridge to the Cyanamid. My father helped build the shelters in Whirlpool Park where I too played at the gorge. The story was a trip back in time.Loretta academy was a memory that I have as a threat from my mother when I was bad. I knew a 3rd grade classmate who was sent there because her parents couldn’t control her.I often rode my bike down Lewiston Hill to youngstown where we ate our packed lunch in front of a big house facing the river. My father was from Canada and enlisted in USA and was naturalized.Trips to Canada during WW2 to relatives and purchases by my Grandmother were a hoot coming across the bridge. Thanks for all the good memories. Priscilla Nash
